SERIO has deep understanding of the role that enterprise and innovation play in the global knowledge economy and boast a strong track record of research and consultancy work to support this.

We recognise that innovation is essential to achieving prosperity and improving quality of life, and that the economy thrives when ideas and knowledge are shared between the public, private and social purpose sectors. Likewise, entrepreneurship and enterprise are vital elements for boosting the economic recovery.

Experience
The team has extensive experience delivering research and intelligence related to innovation and enterprise. Currently the team are leading a large project looking at the emerging university market space and the role played by enterprise. Last year SERIO directed a European Union funded project, comparing mechanisms for knowledge transfer in England and France. We have recently been commissioned to assess levels of innovation in Plymouth businesses by the City Council and the South West RDA.

FiftyFourSERIO carried out research into 16 potential international markets, spread across six continents, for a Plymouth-based high-performance sailing brand.
PROTTECPROTTEC was a European Union funded project which brought together Plymouth University with four other universities in England and France to explore the transfer of knowledge and innovation generated by publicly-funded research.
Rural Enterprise SolutionsThe Rural Enterprise Solutions project aims to provide knowledge and information, as well as facilitating networking between farmers, rural businesses and communities.
