Firework Events: do they contribute to the economy?



SERIO has just completed a desk-based review of the economic impact of hosting/ and sponsoring a major fireworks championships.

The research gathered international data and looked at the impact of holding large firework events on the local and regional economy. Issues such as visitor spend and stay as well as branding and reputation were looked at alongside the cost of hosting events. The research was carried out for a fireworks organisation business to support them in taking their business forward and using an evidence based approach with future sponsors and stakeholders.
