SERIO to Advise on the Evaluation of Superfast Cornwall


SERIO has been commissioned to provide guidance and advice on the evaluation of the Superfast Cornwall project, and to undertake key tasks for the evaluation itself.

The Next Generation Broadband Infrastructure for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly project (known as Superfast Cornwall) is one of the Convergence Programme’s key investments. The project aims to stimulate economic transformation in the area and establish a long term legacy for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. With over £50 million of ERDF funding, contributing to an overall project value of £132 million, this is the largest single Convergence investment.

As part of this commission, SERIO will act as an external expert to the existing evaluation lead for the project, proving additional capacity and ensuring connectivity throughout the evaluation framework. SERIO will also undertake a series of interviews with key project stakeholders to gauge the wider impact and influence of the project.  The research will result in a report that shows the economic, social and environmental impact of the Superfast Cornwall project, as well as its wider strategic value and influence.
