SERIO undertakes the evaluation of an exciting 'SkillsPlanner' initiative.

SERIO is undertaking the evaluation of an exciting Ethos-led initiative 'SkillsPlanner' which aims to address the construction industry skills shortage.

The prestigious project, which has been awarded £1.3m research and development funding from Innovate UK, is based on a powerful Linked Open Data platform, created by technology leader and project partner Seme4. The platform, which is being developed together with its future users, aims to make ‘real time’ skills supply and demand data visible to multiple stakeholders. SERIO is undertaking research to help evaluate and understand the impact of SkillsPlanner, particularly in its ability to match skills to demand and its role in providing relevant and more informed training to meet employer need.

Social Enterprise in a global context: the role of Higher Education InstitutesThe British Council has commissioned SERIO, and colleagues in Futures Entrepreneurial Centre, at Plymouth University to undertake a global study to inform Social Enterprise policy.
