Enterprising Universities


SERIO, in partnership with Teesside University, is leading a project to better understand the new marketspace that the enterprise agenda is creating for the higher education sector.

The project’s research team has so far analysed the mission statements and strategy documents of 128 higher education institutions in England, and have mapped them according to the position they perceive themselves to occupy in the sector.

Working with a group of ten English universities, and a number of international institutions, Phases Two and Three of the project will explore the business models and strategies underpinning their respective market positions, resulting in best practice summaries and toolkits for the benefit of the sector.
