Social Enterprises: SERIO Article in Public Servant

An article looking at the factors needed to support growth for social enterprises has been published in Public Servant. The article focuses on research by SERIO which evaluated the impact of specialist support for social enterprises.

The SERIO research found that social enterprises not only need different types of advice to other business models but that their needs differ depending on their stage in the business cycle.  It also showed that social enterprises were most satisfied with intensive one to one support with a specialist advisor in the sector. The article highlights the importance of social enterprises being able to access specialist support if they are going to engage with the government’s focus on high growth and innovation.
