SERIO in Public Servant

An article examining the potential for a private sector-led economic recovery in Plymouth, based on research by SERIO, was published in the March issue of Public Servant.

The report draws on SERIO's work mapping the skills gaps and shortages in the city on behalf of the Plymouth Employment and Skills board. The research examined the potential for key sectors to grow and create jobs - which will be essential if the city is to recover from large scale public sector cuts and the impact of the strategic defence review on the Devonport dockyard.

Public Servant magazine reports on the major issues affecting those working in the public sector, and aims to encourage communication between decision-makers, policy-makers and frontline staff. The magazine has a circulation of around 9,000.
