Helen Barrett

Helen is a Research Assistant at SERIO and has experience of working on a wide range of projects.  She has expertise in delivering both quantitative and qualitative research, and is experienced in conducting telephone and face to face interviews, delivering online surveys, and undertaking comprehensive literature reviews. Helen has worked on several in-depth literature reviews, including a systematic review on oral health promotion for the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and a review on antenatal screening for cystic fibrosis for the UK National Screening Committee. Helen has also been involved with a number of service evaluations, from large-scale initiatives such as Superfast Cornwall, to community-level services such as the Nightstop scheme for homeless young people in North Devon, and the BCHA Hospital to Housing Service in Bournemouth.  

Helen has an MSc from the Open University in Development Management and a degree in Geography from Plymouth University.  Helen has previously worked for the University of the West of England library services.
