Nightstop Devon

In 2010 SERIO were commissioned by Community Housing Aid to evaluate Nightstop, a service providing emergency accommodation for homeless young people. The study examined the need for and access to the service across Devon.

The research sought the views of service users, volunteers and referral agencies collected data using an online survey, in-depth telephone interviews and a focus group. Local authority data on homelessness, and Nightstop monitoring data were also used to compare Devon with other Nightstop projects across England. The evaluation demonstrated the need for the expansion of the service across the county and into more rural areas.
