SERIO has been awarded a two-year contract by Exeter City Council to deliver an evaluation of their Sport England funded Local Delivery Pilot. The Pilot is one of 12 across England, and seeks to make Exeter and Cranbrook a pioneering place for leading an active lifestyle, encouraging the least active residents in target areas to lead regular active lifestyles. Schools, workplaces and communities will be engaged over the course of delivery, and interventions will be tailored to meet the needs of target populations. The Pilot team is adopting a test-and-learn approach to delivery, and required a flexible and responsive evaluator to work alongside them, providing agile data to assist in their process of continuous improvement. Exeter City Council recognised these attributes in the SERIO team, and we’re delighted to be awarded the contract, particularly as it aligns so well with the University’s civic mission.
